Biography
Hi, my name is Dan Avenell, and I'm an artist, illustrator and graphic designer based in London, UK.
I usually create my art with pencil and ink, then scan it into Photoshop and finish digitally. I also work in traditional media such as acrylics, oils, and the silk-screen process.

I am currently illustrating the web-comic of upcoming computer animated sci-fi epic Loner.

Layout and design of UK comedy magazine The Fix
Note - I didn't do this cover illustration, that was by Oliver Paterson. In fact it doesn't feature any of my artwork, but you can check out my mad typesetting skills and layout magic. Oh and it really is very funny.

Also designed T-Shirts and other merchandise
Co-created the magazine Head, writing and drawing three of its comic-strips, including the nearly-legendary Existentialist-By-Night.
This was ages ago though.
Gun-Totin' Squirrels, an adult-orientated animated series currently in development (allegedly)
I've designed flyers and posters for clubs including Loose!, Hazzard County, Stardust, Hang Out & Hustle!, Turning Worm Presents, Journey Into Mystery, EveryOtherWeeker and Club NME
Other projects include record sleeves, club flyers, t-shirts, logos, comic-strips, web-design, calendars, photo-retouching, portaiture and animation
